It's raining, lol, and I'm bored! The cats are going stir-crazy due to the weather changing so fast, or maybe because of the static in the air from the storm? Lol, the storm that was supposed to MISS us has instead gotten us pretty good, I got to watch the lightening for an hour or so. That was while waiting for my ride home from work, and I had not taken a coat or anything cause, hey, it was supposed to miss us, and yesterday got up to about 84.
So, what are everyones' plans for tomorrow night? If you're not in the USA, what do you normally do on Halloween? Anything major, or is it just another day?
I plan on.....going over to mom and dad's and handing out candy. :) I will probably put on either the Victorian lady costume from last year, or the harlequin clown costume from a few years before; I didn't have the ambition to come up with a good costume in time to make it this year, lol.
megan has to work, and then she has not one, but TWO parties to go to! lol, I guess I'm just a home-body; I'd love to get a Halloween carnival arranged for this town; the money could go towards sober grad! See, years ago, when I was a kid(lol, yikes!) there *was* a Halloween carnival. It was something everyone went to simply because it was something to do, you know? At 6 pm, volunteers took groups of kids trick-or-treating, so it was safe, and parents didn't have to worry about where their kids were.
Sadly, that disappeared by the time I was a teen; no one wanted to put the effort into getting it organized any more. :(

Date: 2008-10-31 04:46 am (UTC)I'll probably just be giving them fun sized Snickers, but Love Potion Number 9 would be way more fun.

Date: 2008-10-31 05:10 am (UTC)why do I do things like that to myself!?
I have a mix of my favorite cheep candies to give out:
Smarties(US ones, not the UK ones, those are even better, but NOT cheep here, lol!), Sweet Tarts, Pixisticks, and of course, some chocolate; the body parts mix, with crispey, caramel filled, or peanut butter filled fingers, eyeballs, toes, and ears. The reasoning is that way we'll eat anything that's left!

Date: 2008-10-31 05:15 am (UTC)We just got a mix pack of chocolate candy from Costco. Nothing terribly exciting. Your candy sounds way more fun. :D
